Rhinobond EP
Two-Component Epoxy Based Bonding Agent And Concrete Repairs.
Rhinobond EP is a 2 component epoxy bonding agent for bonding to old
and new concrete or plaster surfaces. Rhinobond EP is suitable to internal and
external applications. Rhinobond EP may also be used as part of a repair
system where a substrate/repair barrier is required or where the substrate is likely to remain permanently damp or wet.
Features:
- High strength adhesion – exceeds that of the tensile strength of the host concrete.
- Exhibits high mechanical strength.
- Can be applied on to dry substrates.
- Solvent free – low VOC and non-shrink.
- Pre-proportioned packaging – no job site errors.
- Multi-purpose binder – many uses.
- Low viscosity – Easy to apply as primer.
- High abrasion and chemical resistance – cab be used as wearing surface.
Application Areas :
- For use on horizontal or vertical surfaces where mortar or concrete can be supported by form work.
- Ideal for extension & repair to structural concrete.
- Correct and high quality surface preparation is important for optimum performance.
- Spalled concrete should be cut back to sound concrete and fill with a Rhinobond EP mortar.
Properties :
Mixing And Coverage :
- Mix part 1 and part 2 thoroughly and homogeneously with low speed mechanical stirrer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Mixed material should be brush applied on the prepared surface.
- It should be coated approximately at the rate of 2-2.5m2/kg depending upon the substrate.
Packing : 1kg & 5kg
Storage & Self Life : Shelf life is 1 year in sealed container. Store away from sunlight and preferably below
30°C. Storage should be frost protected.
