Mahaproof Prime – 742 is a specially developed product to enhance the bonding of polysulphide & Polyurethane sealant with the porous substrates
such as cement, concrete, wood, asbestos, stones, bricks etc.
Features:
- Easily applicable by brush.
- Due to its low viscosity it penetrates deeply into the substrate.
- Enhances the bonding of sealant with substrates.
- It remains unaffected by UV rays and weathering conditions.
Typical application
- Used as a primer coat for polysulphide & polyurethane sealant.
- Used as a sealer to seal porous substrates like concrete, sandstone etc.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be sound, clean and dry. Concrete surfaces should have a light steel-trowel followed by a fine hair broom or equivalent finish which is dry and free of dust, oil and other contaminants. All high spots should be removed. Moss and laitance must be removed physically followed by treatment with fungicidal wash to kill any spores and inhibit further growth. After treatment wash down thoroughly with clean water and allow drying. All metal surfaces should be made clean of paint, oils, rust and other contaminants.
